# July 25 Progress Showcase

This page records the newest simulation and rendering evidence prepared on July 25, 2026 from the broader POLYMATHICA workspace.

## New Showcase Candidate

### V533 CFD Room Showcase

- Source artifact: `runtime_outputs/v533_cfd_room_showcase/v533-cfd-room-showcase/run-v533-cfd-room-showcase-001`
- Public video copy: [assets/v533_cfd_room_showcase_silent.mp4](assets/v533_cfd_room_showcase_silent.mp4)
- Public still: [assets/v533_cfd_room_showcase_export.png](assets/v533_cfd_room_showcase_export.png)
- Validation status: `passed`
- Capture type: operator interface demonstration

The V533 capture demonstrates the current CFD room interface with linked four-view analysis, deterministic timeline scrubbing, multiple field selections, light and dark room themes, and a validated silent MP4 export.

Validation checks from the source capture include:

- deterministic capture plan
- linked source frame across all views
- velocity, vorticity, helicity, and Q-criterion field selection
- successful PNG export
- zero browser console errors
- zero failed browser requests
- complete room-state manifest
- valid silent video
- unchanged accepted V532 MP4 checksums

## New Simulation Evidence

### Taylor-Green Vortex Reproducibility Pair

- Source runs: `CFD-20260725-223859-a6e661` and `CFD-20260725-223906-62d046`
- Case: `taylor_green_vortex_2d`
- Comparison: `CMP-20260725-223914-d2742d`
- Comparison result: `EQUIVALENT_WITHIN_TOLERANCE`
- Validation status: `passed` for both runs

Key validation metrics from the source runs:

- divergence norm: `0.008619816963734282`
- measured energy decay: `0.988651526463334`
- expected energy decay: `0.9989951955053036`
- relative decay error: `0.01035407286091866`
- mass imbalance: `4.472433489808646e-17`
- checkpoint count: `4`
- final simulated time: `0.004`

The comparison bundle reports unchanged validation metrics across the two source runs, including divergence, energy decay, mass imbalance, and timestep count. This is useful hackathon evidence because it shows not just a simulation, but repeatable governed output with comparison artifacts.

## Why It Matters For Judges

The original public hackathon repository already demonstrates the compact replay workflow and benchmark suite. The July 25 artifacts show visible progress in the broader system:

- richer operator-room presentation
- validated graphics capture
- reproducible Navier-Stokes experiment comparison
- stronger connection between simulation output, visual evidence, and provenance artifacts

This page is a progress note, not a replacement for the runnable public workflow.
